Position Overview:

Client Facing Responsibilities:

Build relationship with customer after sale is complete and ensure that all projects are completed in such a way that the customer is a reference account

Work with Account Director to identify additional value-add opportunities within the customer organization, and develop follow-on proposals that meet the customer's business needs.

Review all communication between the customer and the Project Manager and serve as the initial escalation point for any issues that arise.

Ensure that the customer relationship is established with the Account Rep for ongoing production and that the overall quality of all projects delivered is acceptable to both the customer and the Support organization

Project Implementation Responsibilities:

Ensure that all projects are effectively managed and that appropriate resources are assigned. and are executed in a manner consistent with established methodologies and that code and concepts are reused as appropriate.

Monitor project risks and issues, and escalate to customer or executive staff as appropriate.

Manage implementation team P&L to appropriate targets

Knowledge/Staff Development Responsibilities:

Provide training as required to the project team in the areas of the DMi development methodology, development standards, project management, and written or verbal presentations.

Ensure that assigned projects employ current "best practices", reusing both code and concepts as appropriate.

Ensure that new lessons learned from assigned projects are adequately documented and disseminated to other implementation teams

Takes initiative to form and manage cross-functional process improvement teams and projects.

Provide timely, written feedback on performance to all implementation team members.

Ensures that company and department training and certification policies are implemented.

Qualifications Required:
(Experience, Skills, Academic)

Qualifications:

Experience in project management and direct staff supervision.

Experience managing customer expectations in a consulting or custom software development environment.

Pre-sales or proposal development experience in addition to delivery experience is valuable.

P&L management experience preferred.

8+ years of software development experience including at least 3 years of software project management experience.

Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies.

Experience with large-scale databases preferred

BS degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Engineering or related fields or equivalent professional education/experience. MBA or MS degree in related field preferred.
- Current Certification in Project Management, or certification process in progress.
- Management training and sales training is also valuable.
